About Me…

SAFEE’S BLOG MEDIA STUDIES A2

I have always been fascinated by Media Studies which has an undeviating power on everyone, individually as well as collectively.

I, Safee M. Khawaja, am a driven and ambitious student awaiting to complete my A-Levels. I am working towards pursuing a career in Media & Journalism. Hence, I took up this subject to polish my skills within this field. One thing that I am fully prepared for is the extent of time, energy and creativity that one has to put into this subject. It was quite draining and challenging but that is what kept me going – I wanted to achieve the goal of getting done with the final project and proving my devotion to this subject.

My other interests include studying Law, traveling around the world & undertaking as much philanthropic work as possible. I’m optimistic towards life (Shukar Alhumdulillah) and every challenge that life throws at me – just for a laugh, this blog being one of them!

This blog is a visual representation of my journey as a Media Studies’ student in A2. I hope you appreciate my honest effort & the hard-work, time and sleepless nights that I put into this very subject.

Ever since my childhood, I was inclined towards this vast filed and thus created a photography page on Facebook by the name of “ShutterShooters by Safee Khawaja” that still exists. Being familiar to such equipment & the introduction to this vast field at the young age of 11, was an edge and came in handy.

The pictures on the top of this page have been captured by me using my mobile phone – not very professional there though.

Ariyana Rimmal

She is 18 years old and will be pursuing an undergraduate degree in Media Studies. She is a hard-working, dedicated & enthusiastic student who is ever-ready to have debates about her favorite films and TV shows. Although critical, she has an artistic sense to her that is hard to put into words.

Rahim Tarar

He is 19 years old and thinks on a different artistic tangent than Ariyana & I. He proved to be quite resourceful to us and remained committed to all the projects that we undertook this year as a team.

My Contribution…

I have been quite organized ever since I was a child. Hence, I played a similar role here too. I was honest with my opinions about the ideas that Ariyana and Rahim put forward and pointed out story loop-holes, issues with screenplay, for example. Along with being attentive, I was initially not really motivated but thankfully got increasingly involved in the subject as the year progressed. My unconventional establishing shots became my identity.
